Pravcicka Gate & Bastei - Winter Hike

Available from November to March on Fri, Sat and Sundays only due to winter opening hours of the Pravcicka Gate.

Maybe you're wondering what to do in Prague in winter after you've seen the famous Christmas markets ? So take a day trip to Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland, two national parks where you can see two main gihglights during just one day. And it's perfectly doable in winter with no need of special gear or a fear of too cold weather. Take the step and we'll be delighted to show you the most protected trails where rock formations and enchanted forest creates divine scenery. While snow is subject to weather, we can promise you the Pravcicka Gate is still open and waiting for your photos and to offer you scenic views. Visit the biggest sandstone arch in Europe and iconic site of the Bohemian Switzerland.

Of course we know how to treat you well so a traditional part of our tours - a great á la carte lunch in a local restaurant is included in your tour :) You can have anything from the menu and of course there will be time for a cup of hot coffee or tea. When you feel it's time to continue we will show you the second part of the trip - the Bastei bridge.

Bastei is the most popular nature site in the whole Germany (!). That always means a lots of people but in winter, you can have these jaw-dropping ruins almost for yourself with very few visitors around. So take your chance and walk on the first tourist bridge ever built in Europe and watch the sandstone mountains all around arising from the ground. If you're lucky enough with the weather you can even get some winter sunset pictures :)
